Where to Buy Marukyu Koyamaen Matcha (2026)
The International Online Shop is the official way to buy Marukyu Koyamaen matcha from outside Japan, and a few specialty retailers list it too. Here is where to look, with the shop's own restock rules.
⚠️ Beware of Resellers
Marukyu Koyamaen publishes an unauthorized-reseller list (updated 24 September 2026) naming sellers on Facebook Marketplace, Telegram, Discord and Mercari, and takes no responsibility for products bought from them.
Where Can You Buy Marukyu Koyamaen Matcha?
Marukyu Koyamaen International Online Shop
marukyu-koyamaen.co.jp/english/shop
Grades available: Principal matcha range, Yugen (¥2,000) to Tenju (¥20,100), starting prices on 25 Sep 2026
The official way to buy from outside Japan. An account is required (no guest checkout) and orders are charged in yen. Restocks are random, Monday to Friday 9:00-17:30 Japan time, and the shop rotates which countries it ships to, so your country may be off the list for a given restock.
Motoan (Japanese online shop)
marukyu-koyamaen.co.jp
Grades available: Domestic range
Japanese addresses use this separate shop, because the International Online Shop does not deliver to Japan.
Nara Tea Company
narateacompany.com
Grades available: Several Marukyu Koyamaen matcha listings
A US specialty retailer that lists Marukyu Koyamaen products. Its own pages say restocking may be delayed by 2 weeks to 1 month during the matcha boom; stock and limits are the retailer's own.
Sazen Tea
sazentea.com
Grades available: Marukyu Koyamaen matcha collection
Lists a Marukyu Koyamaen collection. It has posted a notice about suspending sales of some Marukyu Koyamaen matcha during the shortage (the notice is undated), so check the product pages.
Which Grades Are Available Where?
Each restock on the official shop is a different mix of grades and sizes, and the shop does not say in advance which will return. We do not publish a per-source grade-availability ranking, because we have no source for one. See our Marukyu Koyamaen stock page for the restock rules and the grade price list.
How Do You Buy From the International Online Shop?
- Create an account in advance with your full billing and shipping address, and stay logged in.
- When a restock appears, add the item to your cart and go straight to checkout.
- Tick the terms box and complete the reCAPTCHA, then pay. Apple Pay or Google Pay is quickest, and everything is charged in yen.
- If your country is missing from the shipping list, that restock is not shipping to you. Wait for the next one.

Is It Safe to Buy From Resellers?
Usually not. Marukyu Koyamaen's reseller list covers all resellers on Facebook Marketplace, Telegram, Discord communities, Threads and Mercari, plus many named shops, and its warning signs include mixed-brand unboxing photos, matcha stored on floors, and product photos copied from the official site. Matcha Alert Club does not sell matcha; our alerts link to the official shop and listed retailers.
