Question 1

How do I get notified when Japanese matcha is back in stock?

Accepted Answer

Join the Matcha Alert Club Discord community via Whop — members are notified in Discord within moments of a restock being detected, giving you a major head start before it sells out again. You can also check the free public "is X in stock" trackers and brand guides at matchaalertclub.com/blog and matchaalertclub.com/brands, and a free account unlocks the full searchable catalog of 435+ products with live stock status.

Question 2

Do you track Uji matcha specifically?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Uji, Kyoto is Japan's most prestigious matcha-producing region, and most of the brands we monitor — including Ippodo Tea, Marukyu Koyamaen, Yamamasa Koyamaen, and Kanbayashi Shunsho — source or produce their matcha there. We track dozens of Uji ceremonial-grade matcha products across these houses, so you'll be the first to know when authentic Uji matcha is back in stock.

Question 3

Why is Japanese matcha so hard to buy? Why does it sell out so fast?

Accepted Answer

Authentic Japanese ceremonial matcha — especially from Uji — is produced in very limited quantities using traditional methods: shade-growing tea plants for 20–30 days, hand-picking only the finest first-flush leaves, and stone-grinding at just 40g per hour. Annual supply is fixed by climate and hand-labor constraints, while global demand keeps growing. Popular grades from houses like Ippodo and Marukyu Koyamaen can sell out within hours of a restock, making it nearly impossible to catch without automated monitoring.

Question 4

How do matcha restock alerts work?

Accepted Answer

Matcha Alert Club monitors official Japanese tea house websites and authorized retailers around the clock, re-checking every tracked site more than twice a minute. When a product comes back in stock, Discord community members are alerted within moments — giving you the head start you need to purchase before it sells out again. Brand guides and stock trackers on matchaalertclub.com are free to read; join the Discord via Whop to get the actual notifications.

Question 5

Which matcha brands do you track?

Accepted Answer

We track 17+ premium matcha brands from Japan, including Ippodo Tea, Marukyu Koyamaen, Sazen Tea, Yamamasa Koyamaen, Kanbayashi Shunsho, and more. Our focus is on authentic, high-quality ceremonial and culinary grade matcha from reputable Japanese tea houses.

Question 6

How do I know when Ippodo matcha is back in stock?

Accepted Answer

Ippodo Tea is one of the most tracked brands on Matcha Alert Club. Read the free Ippodo brand guide and live stock tracker at matchaalertclub.com/brands/ippodo-tea. To get an instant notification the moment a grade (Ikuyo, Kan, Ummon, etc.) restocks, join the Discord community via Whop — members are alerted within moments of every restock.

Question 7

How quickly will I be notified of restocks?

Accepted Answer

We re-check every tracked site more than twice a minute, so most restocks are detected within moments of becoming available. Discord community members are notified immediately when we detect a restock.

Question 8

Can I see which matcha is in stock right now?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The free public brand pages and "is X in stock" trackers at matchaalertclub.com show current availability and typical restock patterns for each Japanese tea house. A free account unlocks the full searchable catalog with live stock status for all 435+ products across 17+ tea houses. To be alerted the moment something restocks, join the Discord community via Whop.

Question 9

What websites do you monitor?

Accepted Answer

We monitor official brand websites, authorized retailers, and specialty tea shops that sell authentic Japanese matcha. This includes Ippodo Tea, Sazen Tea, Yunomi, and other trusted sources.

Question 10

Where can I check if matcha is in stock without signing up?

Accepted Answer

The brand directory at matchaalertclub.com/brands and every guide and stock tracker at matchaalertclub.com/blog are free to read with no account — they cover current availability and restock patterns for 17+ Japanese tea houses. Creating a free account adds the full searchable 435-product catalog with live stock status. Real-time restock alerts are delivered in the Discord community, joined via Whop.

Question 11

Why is Japanese matcha out of stock everywhere in 2026?

Accepted Answer

A structural shortage of ceremonial-grade matcha began in late 2024 and has continued through 2026 — the first matcha shortage in history according to the Global Japanese Tea Association. The main cause is a stone-milling bottleneck: traditional granite mills produce only ~40g of matcha per hour. Producers may have the raw tencha leaf in stock but physically cannot grind it fast enough. Global demand has also grown 37x for ceremonial grade since 2022. This is why Ippodo and Marukyu Koyamaen sell out within hours of restocking — and why a matcha restock alert service is the most effective way to secure your favorite grade.

Question 12

Is my personal information safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We take your privacy seriously. Account details are used only to run your account and the catalog; restock alerts are delivered through the Discord community via Whop. We never sell or share your information with third parties.
